Calm in the chaos

This series of paintings developed out of Sanchez Art Center's 50/50 show in which I created 50 individual paintings during a time span of 50 days. These pieces invite the viewer to seek the essence of detail that provide grounding and calmness amidst the multiple layers of color. I see these paintings as a map of my mind, the busyness amidst experiences while providing comfort and moments of calm in our ever disrupted world.
